Winemaker : Kirilly Gordon

Sourced from the cooler North Eastern slope of the Denton View Hill. The majority of the fruit is from Block 6 at the bottom of the hill nearest to the winery with the addition this year of a portion from the Close Planted block at the top of the hill.

Wild yeast fermented in open pots with gentle plunging for 10 days, pumped over twice a da.. Held on skins for 2 weeks before pressing to old French oak (40%) and stainless steel tank ( 60%) for 9 months. Bottled in early December without fining or filtration.

An excellent year that reflects the additional and continued work in the vineyard with undervine cultivation and canopy growth and control. Predominantly MV6 Clone with a dash of pommard and 115 CloneAn excellent growing season with a long and mild Summer with regular rainfall at the right time. The 2023 Shed Pinot has its typical freshness and brightness with a savoury edge, structure and lenght to boot.
